First Baptist Church Pages
Rev Crawford Williams
fired off some very significant
Scriptures as he led us in the
evening Worship time.
The title for his message was
What is a Christian.
Taking notes has helped me
in my Bible study but I was
hard put to keep up.
It was like every little word
led to more and better
illustrations.
I am afraid what I gleaned
doesn't do justice.
The next two columns give most
of the references and the points covered.
All I can say, is
You Should Of Been There. |
(Acts 11:19-26 KJV)
finishes with:
"And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."

Phil 2:5: Vs. 2:5-11 This passage on the

same nature as God, did not think this something to be exploited to His
own advantage." Phil 2:9: Vs. 2:9 Through self-denial and obedience
Christ won
(1 Cor 4:1-4 KJV)

was the one necessary virtue for stewards, who were managers or administrators
of large estates.
(1 John 3:1 KJV)
1 John 3:1: Vs. 3:1 children of God. Born
ones of God, as in John 1:12. We can, even now, know Him as a child knows
its father; the future relationship no words can describe.

Acts 11:26: Vs. 11:26 Christians. The
word appears only here, in 26:28, and in 1 Peter 4:16. It means partisans,
or followers, of Christ, "Christ's people."
